Darjeeling! The very name conjures up images of tea gardens, scenic hills and Gorkhas, the warrior people. It is snuggled up against foothills of majestic Kanchenjunga. All this does not sum up this beautiful land. There is lot more to this land than just scenic sights or tea gardens. The people are wonderful and yet so simple. And, they are famous for their bravery and chivalry. The place has magnificent fauna and flora. You would be delighted to savor the rugged natural charm of the place. Anyways, Darjeeling is known all over the world for its distinct brand of tea called Darjeeling Tea. It is also called as the “Champaign of the East”. And, there are numerous tourist spots around it like Gangtok, Mirik, Kalimpong, Sandakphu and Jaldapara, Mahanadi, Manas and Gorumara Wildlife Sanctuaries. Darjeeling has facilities for many adventure spots like river rafting and canoeing on the river Rangit. You can also trek and mountaineer here. The famous Himalayan Mountaineering Institute is also situated here.

Day 01 : NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport - Gangtok
You would be welcomed and picked up from airport/railway station. Darjeeling is one of the most beautiful hill stations. Afterwards, you would be checked-in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Gangtok Sight seeing
This day we will travel to Tsomgo Lake which is at the height of 12,400 ft. & Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial at a height of 13200 ft. Tsomgo Lake is entirely frozen during the winter and is much venerated by the people. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Gangtok sight seeing - Darjeeling
Today, after breakfast, we will drive to beautiful Gangtok- the Capital of Sikkim. On arrival, you would check-in to your hotel and relax a bit. After taking lunch, you would visit Rumtek Monastery, Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Dro-dul Chorten, Flower Exhibition centre. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Darjeeling (Local sight seeing)
Early in the morning, you would drive down to Mt. Khangchendzonga to watch the magnificent sunrise over the world’s third highest peak. You would visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back. After taking your breakfast, you would visit places like P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), and Japanese Temple. In the evening, you would be free. You may visit a mall. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 05 : Darjeeling - NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (100 kms / 3 hrs)
You would be free in the morning to pack your things. Take care to check out from hotel in time so as to reach NJP railway station / IXB airport for your onward journey.
