Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi
You will be tenderly greeted by our tour representative at the Delhi airport on your arrival and he will escort you to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You can enjoy the Light and Sound Show Programme in Red Fort which dramatically briefs the history of Delhi. Stay overnight in Delhi.
Day 02 : Delhi - Pathankot
After an early breakfast, visit the monuments of Old Delhi. First pay tribute to the Father of Nation at Raj Ghat. Then explore the red sandstone building, Red Fort and the largest mosque of Asia, Jama Masjid. Then visit India Gate, Qutub Minar, National Gallery of Modern Art, Humayun’s Tomb, Laxmi Narayan Temple, etc. By late evening, board the train to Pathankot. Overnight on the train.
Day 03 : Pathankot - Dalhousie
Take morning breakfast and later our representative will drive you to Dalhousie, which is at a distance of about 80 kms from Pathankot. This hill station of Himachal Pradesh was once the summer retreat of the bureaucrats of British. During the peak season from May to September this hill station receives a large number of tourists.
Check-in to the hotel on arrival. Enjoy visiting the appealing Victorian architecture and panoramic views of the plains and the white-capped mountain ranges. Colonial styled buildings are another charm of the place. Stay overnight at the hotel in Dalhousie.
Day 04 : Dalhousie - Dharamshala
After the morning breakfast, enjoy a few hours sightseeing of Dalhousie where you will see major tourist destinations including Panchpula, Subhash Baoli, Bara Pathar and Kalatop.
Later you will be drive to Dharamshala, located at a distance of about 100 kms which is the seat of Dalai Lama. This hill station of Himachal Pradesh is visited mainly for its Buddhist monasteries and mountain beauty. Check-in to the hotel on arrival. Stay overnight at the hotel in Dharamshala.
Day 05 :
As a part of your India summer tour, enjoy the full day sightseeing of Dharamshala where you will visit the museums, monasteries, markets of Dharamshala. Interact with the lamas of the Buddhist monasteries. Also visit the Dal Lake and other places including St. John's Church, McLeodganj, Bhagsunath, Kunal Pathri, and Dharmkot. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Dharamshala - Shimla
Take a leisurely morning breakfast and drive to Shimla (293 kms). Check-in to the hotel on arrival. Shimla hill station once the summer capital of the British houses colonial buildings. The Shimla Kalka Mountain Railway is one of the heritage sites of India included in Mountain Railways of India.
Day 07 : Shimla - Chandigarh
Check out from hotel after breakfast and enjoy a short while visit of Shimla.
Afternoon drive to Chandigarh (105 kms), the first planned city of India. Check-in to the hotel on arrival at Chandigarh. Visit the architectural marvels of Chandigarh city. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 08 : Chandigarh - Delhi
You will be driven to Chandigarh railway station to board a super fast air-conditioned train to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, your transfer arrangement will be made to hotel for overnight stay. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 09 : Delhi - Departure
On the last day of India summer hill station tour, board your flight back home at the Delhi International Airport. Hope you will share the memorabilia of the tour with your near and dear ones.
